2023 CTCI Foundation Science and Technology Scholarships Application Information

►Application period is form July 1, 2023 to August 15, 2023, 16:00pm (For graduate students of department of electrical engineering)

• For those who want to apply for the scholarship, aside from submitting necessary materials to the department office, please go to the school's student aid system (https://reurl.cc/Gem0LG) and apply for the scholarship there. Please register and log in to the "NTHU Student Aid System" - search "中技社科技獎學金" - click "I want to apply" and fill the information needed.

►As the selection of this scholarship requires recommendation from the department and then collected and sent by the school all together. For graduate students who are eligible and have your advisor's recommendation, please complete the online registration and sent the hard copy of the application files to the office of department. All procedure should be done before the deadline - August 15, 2023, 16:00pm. Overdue will not be accepted.

►The scholarship must be recommended by the department and each department will recommend only one candidate.  All applications will be reviewed by the Head of Department and decided to recommend candidates.

Eligible applicant

1. Research Scholarship for Overseas Students:

(1) Each semester’s average academic score since matriculation to the research institute needs to be above 80 points; if the university uses grades instead of points, applicants need to submit the score and grade comparison table of the university for evaluation.
(2) Each department or institute is entitled to recommend one candidate (also see appendix for department and institute lists).
         

2. Bursary Award for Overseas Students:

(1) Each semester’s average academic score since matriculation to the research institute needs to be above 75 points; if the university uses grades instead of points, applicants need to submit the score and grade comparison table of the university for evaluation.
(2) Each department or institute is entitled to recommend one candidate (also see appendix for department and institute lists).
 

Application process

1. Application documents

Available for download from the scholarship online registration system of CTCI Foundation. Please complete and upload the electronic file accordingly. Note: Specific documents (marked with *) must be submitted in original form, i.e. the signed or stamped paper copies.

Application: online registration and sending written application documents, both of which must be completed to be acceptable.

Department /institute recommendation: Download and print the PDF files generated by the application system, and submit them to the department/institute.

Whether Research Scholarship for Overseas Students or Bursary Award for Overseas Students, each department/institute can only recommend one candidate to apply.

Reminder

(1) Graduated students who wish to apply for scholarships must have proof of semester registration before graduation.
(2) If recipients win the CTCI Foundation Science and Technology Scholarship or any other private company scholarship in the same academic year (except university or governmental’ s), recipients are liable to notify CTCI Foundation duly, and choose only one for acceptance. If a violation is discovered, the awarded scholarships would be nullified.
(3) For the extensiveness of resource allocation reason, this scholarship will not hand out to legacy winners. Bursary award winner is not subjected to this limitation.
(4) The application materials will not be returned, regardless the outcome of the scholarship review panel decision.
(5) Only successful applicants will be notified. A list of winners (including names, schools, and departments) will be announced on the official website.
