Department of Electrical Engineering (Graduate)

Introducation:
Established in the year of 1977 and 1983 of master and doctorate programs, respectively, the graduate school at the Department of Electrical Engineering has been one of the most prestigious postgraduate institutes in Taiwan.
Our department strives to provide graduate studies with research-oriented inter-disciplinary excellence.
Currently, there are two research groups of the master and doctorate programs in the department : Power Engineering Group and Circuits/Systems Group.

Program-Specific Requirements (Master)  apply to students entering Fall 2020 and after

Proof of English Proficiency (Mandatory)

Fulfilling ONE of the following requirements:

A. TOEFL iBT 80 above or IELTS 6.5 above
B. If you are from English-speaking country, please provide a copy of passport.
C. If you have completed your previous degree in an English-speaking country, please upload a diploma of the degree.
 
A letter of intent to the department, including the faculty member contacts as prospective advisor. (Mandatory)
Considering all full-time teachers in research groups 【Circuits/Systems】or【Power Engineering】in Electrical Engineering department, please state clearly the professor you hope to have his/her instruction on your graduate study (or the professor you have contacted and asked to have his/her assistance).
Prior contact with interested advisors(s) is recommended.
 
Proof of Mandarin Proficiency (Optional)
 
Master’s degree students must complete 4 credit hours (1 class) of Mandarin courses before graduating. Students can waive 4 Mandarin Credit hours by passing TOCFL level A1. (apply to all international students who enroll in or after the 2020 fall semester)
