摘   要:

Bitcoin has been attracting a lot of attention. It is a purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash, which allows online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. In the world of atoms we achieve security with devices such as locks, safes, signatures, and bank vaults. In the world of bits we achieve this kind of security with cryptography. Hence it is not a surprise that Bitcoin is at heart a cryptographic protocol. In this talk, we will explain the high-level structure and the cryptographic designs of Bitcoin.
