Department of electrical engineering and institute of communications engineering will hold an opening of “SP∙ARK communal researching space”. This communal space will bring energy and vitality to the AI researching groups and each of top end projects will be processed here which seems to be the most innovative laboratory in NTHU.
Two important professors who engage in constructing this space are prof. Chi-Chun Lee and prof. Yao-Win Peter Hong, the director of institute of communications engineering in NTHU. After the academic forum in NTHU last year, these two professors discussed an idea: can we construct a space in NTHU EE for the professors and graduate students from different groups to discuss their research of AI and even cooperate with each other.
Due to this reason, these two professors enthusiastically discussed with the leader, each of teachers in AI field and the other staff in NTHU EE. Although impeded by some limitation and problem, they still bore passion to fulfill their idea. Finally, they succeeded and got a thirty seven square footage space in General Building III rebuilt as a brand new AI cooperating research space. prof. Chi-Chun Lee’s group, BIIC, and Yao-Win Peter Hong’s group, CCRG, will manage different kinds of experiment in there.
